SENATE YET TO RECIEVE MINISTERIAL LIST


The Chairman Senate Ad Hoc Committee on Media and Publicity Senator Dino Melaye has confirmed that the senate is yet to receive the ministerial list.
Briefing journalists after Tuesday’s legislative proceedings, Senator Melaye said the Senate would work on the list as soon as it receives it from the Presidency.He however said the screening of ministers would no longer be business as usual as the Senate would be more thorough and prudent.

SENATE TO PROBE DEATH OF NIGERIANS IN THE 'HAJJ STAMPEDE'


The Senate has constituted a committee to look into the cause of the Hajj Stampede, that left over 60 Nigerians dead, scores injured, and many still un-accounted for.

The Senate hinted this, when they finished the first sitting after their recess.
A lawmaker, who went for the Hajj in Saudi Arabia, Sen. Gbenga Ashafa said the Nigerian medical team work hard, and as a result, the death toll was reduced.
